A morning like every other school day morning resulted in a twist, torrential rain! Just as we were leaving the house the heavens opened and we got drenched just going to the car.
We got to school looking like drowned rats and I then unleashed my moan on the poor teaching assistant about the previous day. She said that she would pass on my concerns and was very empathetic about the situation. She also commented that he did appear unsettled yesterday and not his usual self.
It was a short day at work today then back for school pick up. On collecting the children Boy Wonder overheard a parent telling me about his youngest putting a stone in his ear and needing a trip to hospital to deal with it. As we got in the car Boy Wonder started firing endless questions at me regarding the exact procedure required for stone out of ear removal and basically wanted to know precise details. I attempted to play it down to calm him but was then accused of not caring. I said that I cared very much and hoped he was okay but I really couldn't answer his questions in the detail he required. I then gave him a reassuring smile. Boy Wonder responded by shouting at me that it wasn't funny!! I give up !
Boy Wonder appears to have lost all ability to read expression and process matters. This has never been his strong point but he can usually read familiar faces. This tends to happen when anxiety hits and his head becomes fuzzed.
We had tea and went off to drama where Boy Wonder seemed very high and making squeaking noises! It's his show next week so hopefully he will be more level by then!
At home Boy Wonder settled fairly early with his cat in his hammock, rocking side to side whilst reading a book.
Boy Wonder has an appointment with the paediatrician tomorrow to review his medication and ADHD presentation. I think we will have plenty to discuss, luckily she is a very clued up specialist. Boy Wonder is very fortunate to have such a good medical support.
He seems to have some good people around him which must be a big help x
