Compare, contrast ....

This morning we got up and Superman started to prepare for the bike ride as I got ready to take advantage of the sun shine and clean out the animals. Superman experienced a typical morning of hyper madness and couldn't wait to get out on his bike with Boy Wonder and chill him out!

Cat Girl and I spent the morning outside with the animals and the kittens joined us. It was funny to witness their first encounter with the chickens. There was only going to be one winner there and the kittens realised this, eventually!

We then went in to cook some dinners for the week which included a curry, Spanish chicken and a sausage pasta bake. Cat Girl chopped the mushrooms, her favourite job! After a visit from grandparents she went on to play with her Sylvanian family and ended up playing with this for most of the afternoon. She made up stories, dressed them for whatever they were doing and generally created an afternoon of entertainment for herself. This is a very unusual thing to happen in our house and it took a lot of effort to actually stand back and allow her to play. Boy Wonder has never done this and probably never will, no matter how we help him, no matter what toys he has.  Cat Girl was content and happy, again not a combination that Boy Wonder is familiar with.

Maybe we shouldn't compare our children after all they are all individuals regardless of labels. However the contrast was so remarkable that, well it had to be remarked upon !

Boy Wonder and Superman returned from their 10 mile bike ride. They were very sludged up so Boy Wonder promptly stripped off on the door mat ( no shame!) and went off to get a lengthily shower. He then watched his programmes on the Iplayer.

Boy Wonder and Superman went out again after dinner to get animal feed. I took the opportunity to do the ironing whilst Car Girl played.

This  evening we watched a programme on space whilst Boy Wonder settled down.
