The start of the appeal process ....

After a very unsettled night,  Boy Wonder awoke in a very high, inattentive frame of mind. It was difficult beyond belief to get through the morning routine as he wasn't responding to verbal prompts at all.

We eventually arrived at school just before the bell went. I didn't get chance to speak to Boy Wonder's teacher but had written to her in the diary to update her mainly on last night.

Boy Wonder had art therapy this afternoon which appeared to go well and then he went home with Grandad, taking to his room to go on his lap top. When I arrived home with Cat Girl, Boy Wonder seemed quite low, hardly engaging and preoccupied. He had his tea and got ready for football with little help and then came downstairs. His mood quickly changed to high and happy ( possibly because he was going to football.) It's all very odd, the mood changes are hard to keep up with at times like this.

When Boy Wonder left for football I read his diary and the teacher had taken my comments out of context. Maybe I shouldn't write late at night with Baileys in hand!

We submitted our initial request for appealing the statutory assessment today so now have the ordeal of completing the paperwork to go with it. The deadline hits in the first week of the new year which means that we lose about a week due to holidays. Better get writing! We still remain a little optimistic however that matters will progress without taking it all the way but unfortunately appeal deadlines don't allow for 'wait and see' time so here goes!

Boy Wonder was back from football by the time Cat Girl and I returned from swimming. He was up stairs on his lap top watching football. They both remained upstairs whilst Superman wrapped birthday presents and I started the appeal report. Cat Girl made paper snowflakes whilst watching TV and Boy Wonder finished watching his match and started listening to music.

He became very clingy again tonight, expressing worries over school and changes in activities. Cat Girl then wanted cuddles as she didn't want to be left out! Eventually they both settled, however Boy Wonder remains awake.
