Day of Rest.

Today has been a day of rest, well in comparison to yesterday anyway! Boy Wonder played with the boy next door this morning and then finished his water project. He decided on doing a power point on. ' Mammals of the Atlantic Ocean.' He seemed to be more interested in the actual power point set up than the content of the project and so required considerable support to get his information structured.

After lunch we went over to the sports store for Boy Wonder to buy a football net with his birthday money.  Super Man had explained to him the type of net that he needed ( an all weather, durable one with plastic tubing.) We arrived at the shop and Cat Girl immediately found a pink football that she had to have. Boy Wonder went straight off in search for his football net and I followed. However, rather than going to the obvious part of the store, he found a shop assistant and explained to him in intricate detail what he required. The shop assistant took him over the nets and showed him the one that he needed. Boy Wonder then went through all the other types of football net and detailed their inadequacies. The shop assistant looked at him, looked at me and smiled. We went off to find Super Man as Boy Wonder said that he needed him to check it out before buying it. ( or rather that he needed someone to carry it!) Super Man took it to the till and Boy Wonder got out his wallet and slowly counted out his money and waited for his change. On the way home, Boy Wonder used the confined space of the car to negotiate the immediate building of the football net as soon as we got home.

Cat Girl decided to do some writing when we arrived home and was asking Boy Wonder how to spell words like 'trousers.' Boy Wonder started going through the letters, giving examples  such as ' S  for scientific and E for estuary.' Cat Girl gave him a look and then asked me to tell her again. She has fabulous writing for a 4 year old.

Boy Wonder went out to play football with the boy next door once his net was built. It started to rain quite heavily so they came inside and played chess instead.  This evening he settled down in the lounge as he had started to become quite stressy. It seemed to comfort him and he was asleep by 9 pm .
