Boy Wonder slept well last night and had to be woken this morning. It was like releasing a coiled spring as once awake he was bouncing off of the walls! I battled with him to get showered and dressed and downstairs. We had breakfast and went to school.
Boy Wonder bounced through the school gates and ran into his classroom. He stopped suddenly as he saw that it wasn't his usual teacher but a supply teacher. His eyes filled with tears and he walked away. The teaching assistant noticed his reaction and asked me if he was okay? I explained that he was unaware that he would be having a supply teacher this morning and he is usually prewarned. She offered to speak to him and explain when he came back in and I went to find where he went to.
I found him in the hall and explained that his teacher had forgotten to tell him but the T .A was going to talk to him about it during his morning 1:1 time. Boy Wonder seemed okay ( ish) with this.
Super Man went to the Harvest Festival at school this afternoon. He said that Cat Girl's class song was lovely and that Boy Wonder did really well reading out a poem. After school Super Man took him to dance and then I met them at home for tea.
This evening Boy Wonder insisted on settling down early so that he could wake up at 6am for his birthday. However at 11pm he was still wide awake , jumping around his room! I have joined him in his room now in an attempt to get him to sleep ! Another long night .....
