Boy Wonder struggled to settle last night until quite late which meant that he was tired this morning. I persuaded him through his morning routine with the promise of the red Minecraft book from the school book fayre which is on all week before and after school.
We managed to get to school before the gates opened and as soon as physically possible Boy Wonder rushed into school to get to the book fayre. And then it all went a bit wrong. The book fayre wasn't on now until after school. Boy Wonder became upset and panicky as he needed the book. He wouldn't be there after school due to being at art therapy so therefore 'they would all be gone!' His teacher said that she would put the book to one side for him as she could see how upset he was and once he took this in he started to calm.
I took Cat Girl to class and then went off to work. I sent the tribunal documents in today as the deadline is pending and now it is a matter of collating the final reports for the last submission deadline.
After art therapy Boy Wonder went to football club as usual and then out with his worker to go bowling with another boy. A little opportunity for some social skills training! This seemed to go well with a few little problem solving moments to deal with due to the very competitive nature of both boys.
I took Cat Girl for her swimming lesson where she found a mini Minecraft fan ( they are everywhere!) She did well at her swimming. We then came home, platted her hair and she settled into bed with Sooty asleep next to her bed in her toy cat basket, funny thing!
Boy Wonder dashed straight upstairs on his return to have his hour on Minecraft. He then settled in bed with some music. He is getting later at falling to sleep again which us a shame.
